For thirty-one years Hop & Grape UBrew Inc. has been offering Sudbury residents the chance to bottle their own wine.
We carry a variety of yeasts and hops, as well as grains and specialty grains for people who wish to make beer from grains at home.
WHAT ARE YOU LOOKING TO MAKE?
CHOOSE YOUR WINE
With over 40 wines to choose from, you’re sure to find one that you’ll love. Each batch of wine will make approximately 750 ml 30 bottles. The price you see includes all the material and corks.
MAKE YOUR WINE
Because you participate in certain aspects of the winemaking - yeasting, bottling, and labeling to name a few (no experience necessary) - you avoid the massive taxes and markup you’d pay at retail.
BOTTLE YOUR WINE
Four to eight weeks after you make wine, we will contact you to let you know your wine is ready to bottle. Bring your own bottles, or purchase them from us for $1.20 per bottle. You can also add labels and shink tops for a small fee. The visit can take anywhere from 20 minutes to an hour depending on your needs.
Choose your beer
With the variety of beer we have on hand, you have an opportunity to try something new and crafty or stick with the old faithful option. Each batch will produce 23L, which can be bottled in a variety of sizes.
Brew your beer
Because you participate in certain aspects of its creation, much like winemaking, you avoid the massive taxes and markup you’d pay at retail. Not to mention the satisfaction in the participation of crafting your own brew.
BOTTLE YOUR BEER
Four to six weeks after you make beer, we will contact you to let you know your beer is ready to bottle. Bring your own bottles, or purchase new one from us. Traditional beer bottles are $0.80 each. Other varieties of bottles ranging in cost available for purchase. This visit typically takes about 30 minutes.

Initially, when the business opened in 1987, it was the first business in Sudbury and one of the first in Ontario, that allowed customers to have the opportunity to brew their own beer.
Today, as trends are showing , the demand for beer making is back!! And as always wine making is a force with in our business.
Today Hop & Grape UBrew Inc. is the exclusive supplier of Winexpert Wine kits. These are available in over 100 varieties and made from grapes from all points of the world.
Since the onset of the Sudbury Star’s “The Readers Have Spoken Most Favorite Survey” the Hop & Grape UBrew Inc. has been voted #1 five times out of 9 for favorite wine making store. This speaks volumes to the extent of service and product quality given to our customers considering there are 6 Brew-on-Premises in the Sudbury district.
